Interested in becoming an apprentice?
Eligibility
Minimum requirements typically include a HS diploma or GED equivalent and Ability to work a 40hr work week.
Apprenticeship Programs
We offer multi-occupation, WA State registered healthcare apprenticeship programs.
Apprenticeship Programs include:
- Medical Assistant
- Pharmacy Technician
- Central Sterile Processing Technician
- Behavioral Health Technician
- Peer Counselor
- Substance Use Disorder Professional
We also offer other entry-level pathways into the healthcare field. Our Introduction to Healthcare Employment and Apprenticeship Program (IHAP) and our Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) Training Program trains entry-level job seekers for careers in the healthcare sector. Candidates can earn the Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C or CNA).

Get Started | Once you’ve gotten a job offer and are onboarded to your new employer, we enroll you in the next training cohort, assign your mentor and you begin your new earn-while you learn journey!
Pre-Qualifications
Requirements after being hired by an employer to be an apprentice per Program Standards
Proof of High School Graduation: We accept high school diplomas, high school transcripts, college transcripts, or GEDs.
Proof of Age: Document with your date of birth proving you are 18 years or older, such as a state ID, driver’s license, or birth certificate.
English and Math Requirements:
Option 1: Provide a transcript for college level Basic Math Skills (Math 081) or higher and English 098 or higher. We accept official or unofficial transcripts showing completion of English 098 or higher and any college level Math that includes fractions, ratios, decimals, order of operations, measurements, and geometry.
Option 2: Utilize Seattle Colleges’ direct-self placement tool to determine your proficiency in Math and English. Click here to learn more about this option and take the Directed Self Placement tests. To be eligible for our program, you must be recommended to take a level 2 math class or higher and an English 098 class or higher after utilizing the DPS tool. But, you can utilize this tool as many times as you need to and will receive results immediately upon completion. Additional information about the Direct Self Placement tools and process.
